Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon
Dr. Kingsley Ekwe is a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at Cedarcrest Hospitals Abuja and Lagos. He is a graduate of the prestigious University of Jos; graduating in the year 2000. His postgraduate training took him through different hospitals within and outside Nigeria. He was awarded the fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons in 2009. He worked as a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at The National Hospital Abuja before making the transition to join Cedarcrest Hospitals full time in 2012.
Currently an executive director and Head of Surgery, he is able to combine his administrative responsibilities with a very busy practice spanning different areas of orthopaedic practice including arthroplasty, general orthopaedics but with special interest in Orthopaedic trauma. He has had excellent outcomes with all aspects of orthopaedic trauma including trauma care with minimal scarring. He brings a high level of energy, innovation and empathy to the Cedarcrest family. He has over a decade of experience in general and subspecialty orthopaedics that has taken him through various trainings and exposures around the world.
He also has special interest in mentoring and teaching young surgeons and is a member of several associations including the Nigerian orthopaedic association, arthroplasty society of Nigeria, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons amongst others.
