Overview

Dr. Kate Iyore Edionhon (MBBS, FWACS, FMCN) is a consultant Anaesthetist and Intensivist with over 10 years of experience as a doctor. She is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Jos medical school and Anaesthesia residency training program of the Jos University Teaching Hospital of Plateau state where she trained to offer: pain free labor to pregnant women during deliveries, pain relief for chronic pain, anaesthesia for neuro, cardiothoracic, paediatrics, gynaecological, obstetrics, otolaryngological, orthopedic, maxillofacial and general surgical procedures.

She had intensive care training of both University College Hospital, Ibadan and Jos University Teaching Hospital and also had a training on Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. 

She was one time the chief resident of the department of anaesthesia, Jos University Teaching Hospital. She has been involved in the compassionate evidenced-based care of the critically ill.

Dr Kate Edionhon is a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, a member of the Nigerian Medical Association, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Society of Anaesthesiologist and World Federation Society of Anaesthesiologist.

She is currently the clinical head of the Intensive Care Unit at the Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja.
