Overview
Dr Akinmola graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1997 and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Anaesthesia from the University of Benin before proceeding for further postgraduate fellowship studies in Anaesthesia and Intensive care.
He worked as a Consultant Anaesthetist at the National Hospital, Abuja for many years and since 2019 have administered many anaesthetics at Cedarcrest Hospitals Ltd Abuja and Lagos including but not limited to anaesthesia for joint replacement surgeries, scoliosis surgeries, complex neuro and cardiothoracic surgeries, with excellent results.
He has over 20 years of experience in both clinical Anaesthesia and Intensive care. He is also involved in administration.
As an Anaesthetist, Dr. Akinmola has got experience and competence in the administration of various anesthetic techniques during various surgical procedures with special interest in neuro-anaesthesia, cardiothoracic anesthesia, and acute pain relief services and also in the use of USS in anaesthesia. He developed and leads peripheral Nerve Block program in Cedarcrest Hospitals Ltd.
He also has expertise in one lung anaesthesia, central venous cannulation, arterial cannulation, and invasive monitoring techniques.
He is actively involved in training and research and have taught Anaesthesia in various states in Nigeria.
