Consultant Spine Surgeon

Dr. Mark Prempeh is a graduate of the University of West Indies following which he proceeded to the United Kingdom for higher specialist training. He undertook his Orthopaedic training on the East of England rotation and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2015.

He thereafter embarked on multiple sub-specialist spine training in Ipswich, Stoke-on Trent, and Exeter where his passion for minimally invasive surgery, anterior spine surgery and scoliosis correction was nurtured.

Dr. Prempeh is a Consultant Spine Surgeon with a dual appointment at Ipswich Hospitals NHS Trust (a tertiary spine referral centre) and Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust, Chelmsford. He is also a clinical lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford. He is a visiting consultant spine surgeon at Cedarcrest Hospital Lagos.

His practice involves all aspects of spine surgery with special interests in scoliosis correction, spine infection, anterior lumbar surgery, and minimally invasive surgery of the lumbar spine. He is also performs selective nerve root blocks. He has performed several spine surgeries in Nigeria with excellent results.
